About the SRM University

About the Mechanical Department

The Department of Mechanical Engineering has been there since the inception of the college and has best infrastructural facilities with highly qualified and experienced faculties offering quality education in Mechanical Engineering. The department offers B.Tech. degree program in Mecha­nical Engineering. The department has MOUs with selected industries and develops industry institute interaction. The Department is committed to provide high quality education, emphasizing on   Industrial applications to tomorrow’s technocrats. Department has entered into an academic collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburg, USA. Under the Semester Abroad Program' many students have been sent to different universities like Massachusetts Institute  of Technology- USA, Carnegie Mellon University - USA, University of California - Davis USA, University of Wisconsin-USA and  University of Western  Australia­ Australia. As a whole, the Department's mission is  to  advance, evolve & enhance Mechanical Science and Mechanical Engineering fundamentals to build the intellectual capital of research among students and faculty.

About the Conference

India is emerging as a new financial hub with more and more industries targeting in Indian market, are face or daunting task of producing Engineers capable of meeting International norms and requirements. This national level Conference is being organized with an aim of providing a common platfom1 for Academic, Engineers, Research scholars, Scientists and Industrialists to exchange their views and other information about the recent developments in Mechanical Engineering. Paper submitted after March 02, 2012 would not be included in the conference proceedings.
